“Sweet-sounding, sibling harmonies, from this pair of multi-instrumentalists.
Calluna Sun interweave their mellifluous tones & combine their musicality & love of
nature, to bring their audiences a rare mix of folk & world. With reflective lyrics and
soaring melodies, their evocative music takes listeners on a spellbinding, harmonious
journey. Drawing on their experience as classically trained pianist and oboist, with
added experience in Georgian polyphonic singing, Swiss folk yodelling &
Cuban/Brazilian music. The vocal harmonies of sisters Louise & Helen, have been
described by Mara Carlisle as “perfectly intonated”.
The siblings are also known as their long established duo "Satteli"; Swiss folk acapella
project, with exquisite harmonies & alpine songs, celebrating the beauty of the
mountains & their Swiss heritage. Helen is also a pianist & vocalist with long
established Cuban band "Charanga Del Norte".
The sisters released their lovingly crafted debut E.P. in the autumn 2023. This has
been such a journey for them both & they are excited to share their music.”
